As a handyman, I cover a lot of ground when it comes to repairs. But as stated on the "about me" page, there are things that I do not do, but that list is fairly short.
But in addition to just repairs or painting, I am able to come to your location and build custom crates for shipping, moving or long term storage. Prices depends on cubic feet measurements and the distance from me to you for travel. Labor and material are included in the cubic foot price so the travel fees are the only extra costs that will be incurred. If I know how large an item is (Height/width/depth) and where you are located, I can tell you within a $5 +/- what the job would cost you. I can assure you it would be less than a moving company will charge you by half or better. I do know a deer head that I crated (not the one pictured below) paid me one-fifth of what the company that was paying for the move had to pay the "middle-man" for my services. I will not say what company it is as I'm under non-disclosure rules.
So if you need to move, you want something crated, contact me about 2-3 days before the move to set up an appointment. Even better would be 5 + days just in case I'm busy. Remember, if it's a TV, I will work with you and try to make it as close to moving day as possible so you don't have to do without it. Preferebly the day prior to the move.
I also disconnect/reconnect washers, dryers, water lines to icemakers, etc. I do NOT repair these items.
I will move items around in your house or pickup/deliver items from stores or storage units or to units.
Last but not least, I will also uncrate anything you have if you're moving in.
Below are some examples of things I've crated.
As for the actual moving, this depends on where you're moving to. I will have to hire a helper as I can't lift large items by myself. (ie. couches, large chairs, etc)
An aquarium being moved from Alabama to California. Customer informed me that it arrived on site in the same condition as when it left.
An LCD Flat Screen TV.
I first wrap the TV in a special soft covering, then thick padded wrapping paper, taped and shrink wrap the power cord and controller to the TV so everything is easily located when it arrives at the destination. I can ship the TV on it's stand (preferred) or I can take it off the stand.

You pretty much get the idea here. Anything that you have that is fragile.
Including Deer Head Trophys.
