I'm doing business with a company in Texas and they contacted me about doing some repairs for a customer up in Warrior, AL. The bathroom needed some serious paintwork, new sink, cabinet and general repair. Below are the "before" (on left) and "after" (on right) photos. Some are in the same angle but a few are just close. The primary reason for this mold issue is this is a very small bathroom with no ventilation in it. It has an AC/Heat duct but no air can go out unless the window is open. I installed a light/ventilation fan in the ceiling to improve airflow in the room. That along with oil based primer under mold resistent additive mixed in with the paint should retard further mold growth. I removed plastic and metal anchors, scraped rough spots, bleach placed on mold areas, patched all the holes in the walls, primed, then painted the walls, installed new sink, vanity, new plumbing for sink and new faucet. Scraped old caulk from tub area and re-applied with silicone caulk.
